Navsari District Collector facility for NRI Friends

dNRI Services

NRI Services is a unique concept developed specially for NRI's.The idea is to facilitate interests of NRI's who may be facing problems in their home district  or having queries about regulations in India or specifically Gujarat. We provide handholding and guidance  required by NRI's.
Due to
1.lack of knowledge about systems in their home district or in India
2.Lack of understanding about laws and rules governing various departments.
3.Being misguided by agents or relatives,
many NRI's run in to difficulty with regard to land matters, school or college admissions for children, issues related with senior citizens, queries about available health facilities, delay in file movements in various offices, delay in services such as nativity certificate or birth certificate verification.

Many friends also have problems with communicating in gujarati language as they are settled abroad for long periods of time.

Our aim is to increase awareness about the laws and rules of the Government of Gujarat and the Government of India and make life simpler for NRI's hailing from navsari.

We wish to protect you from the agents and touts who may try to take advantage of you for vested interests or antisocial elements who are trying to create disturbances by taking advantage of your absence.

Many also have queries about processes and procedures about starting businesses in India.

Whatever your query or issue,we will try our best to facilitate and help you, while remaining within the framework of the existing laws and rules.

For those who are new to the administrative set up in India,India is divided in to states and each state is divided in to district. Each district has an administrative head appointed from the Indian Administrative Service,an All India Service who presides over all departments in the district and is repsponsible for the district as a whole.
The District Collector also functions as a District Magistrate while discharging duties related to maintaining law and order. There are approximately 80 departments and agencies which function under the supervision of the D.C.

Eulogy for Shri.Mahendrabhai Mehta whose sudden demise is a loss for all.

Shri.Mahendrabhai Mehta,a most familiar face for anyone associated with health, nutrition or disaster relief related activities in navsari passed away on 5/10/15.

On behalf of district administration,i take note of his untimely departure with great pain as well as a stock of good memories.

Shri.Mehta was as positive and bubbly a person one could ever meet and simple in his ways.He innovated a project for improving the immunity and digestive powers of anganwadi going children in navsari which was christened 'balsudha' and is till date successfully helping hundreds of little children battle against malnourishment and ill health.

He has across the years as coordinator of Palanpur Banaskantha Jain Trust helped district administration in interventions such as free uniforms for anganwadi toddlers as well as disaster relief programs.

I still remember our conversations during the  nepal disaster when he passionately said that he didnt want to just send relief material, but he wanted to go there, set up tents with his team and serve hot food to the affected persons.Such was his largeness of heart and passion for his cause.

He was also unassuming and did not believe in highlighting himself, but only his work.Small activities such as setting up chaas counters for general public during the hot and sveltering summer months and personally making all the passers by drink chaas so as to avoid dehydration speak a lot for his work style and dedication.

He has cooperated with administration in so many ways to serve the people that it is difficult for me to list them down. But,on behalf of the citizens of navsari i am extremely thankful for his immense contributions.

It is indeed shocking for us that Mehtaji is no more but we will try to keep his flag flying by continuing his activities without a break with the spirit same and enthusiasm that he commanded.
